03/24/2003: this week's Buffy

I just watched Buffy 7x17 Lies My Parents Told Me...

Wow. Spike, as William, was even more of a mama's boy than I would have ever thought. He wanted to take his mother with him to be the scourge of Europe together with himself and his new girlfriend?! I don't think I would have taken that as calmly as Drusilla did. Sure she clearly wasn't enthused, but she let William go through with vamping his mother. And no matter what Spike likes to believe now in retrospect, I'm not convinced that it was only the demon in his newly vamped mother who brushed this proposal off harshly and was sick of Clingy!William. I mean Spike was clearly a lot like his human personality even as a vampire, so why wouldn't his mother be?

Also I noticed that even though Spike didn't kill Wood, he still kept the coat he took from Wood's mother as a trophy after killing her.
