02/12/2003: Smallville 2x15 Prodigal

I just watched this ep and I'm really happy with it, undoubtedly because while I'm not really a member of denialcorp, I want Lex and Clark to be friends on the show and CLex goodness on screen. And this ep delivered beautifully. Spoilers for Smallville 2x15 Prodigal... (not a synopsis or anything, more like squeeing, probably won't make much sense if you haven't seen the ep)

I mean personally I didn't see last week's ep Rush as such a bleak point for the state of CLex as some others, but all the discussion about rifts and the interpretations of it as the beginning of the end of their friendship started to worry me. But then came this weeks ep:

I mean, Clark acting jealous of Lucas when they're introduced and during the basketball game, Pete saying that Clark and Lex are like brothers. Throughout the ep Lex and Clark are acting like friends, Lex moves in with the Kents for a couple of days (at that point I was one very happy CLex fan), he comes at least somewhat to terms with Jonathan... I really liked the scenes of Lex doing farm work and Jonathan tentatively accepting Lex. And a typical CLex tag, with them talking about family. Sigh. And the whole Lionel, Lucas, Lex family intrigue plot was cool too. I wouldn't mind seeing more of Lucas in the future.

Anyway I'm really happy that the Cassandra calls declaring the end of their friendship seem to have been premature.
